Heather Nolan is an author, poet, songwriter and photographer from St. John’s, Newfoundland. Her poetry and prose have appeared in journals and anthologies across Canada, the U.S., and the U.K.. She won the 2019 Gregory J. Power Poetry Award, and was longlisted for the 2017 CBC Poetry Prize. She is the songwriter and guitarist of band Lady Brett Ashley. Her debut novella This is Agatha Falling was published by Pedlar Press in March 2019.

She currently holds a Canada Council for the Arts Research and Creation Grant and an ArtsNL Professional Projects Grant for the completion of her debut poetry collection, and is working on a sophomore novel exploring urban isolation.
